Scattering Goblins

The propeller-heads over at Project Offset have added a new test to their epic first person shooter fantasy game that involves hundreds of unique Goblins scattering to avoid getting shot by your crossbow.

Blast from the Past

Every so often, someone will discover a fish or a bird that has been thought to be extinct. I had a similar experience at my son's basketball game yesterday. The guy running the scoreboard for the game next to ours was sporting one of these.

Happy Birthday Mozart

Given that we are celebrating Wolfgang's 250th birthday this week, here's my photo of his birthplace that I took when we visited Salzburg last year. The Mozart Project is a great place to visit if you're new to the life of this genius.

If you haven't checked out (aka wasted valuable time) browsing the Google Video Beta project, it's worth a visit. One of the kookiest finds has to do with the free-running matrix-style acrobatics known as Parkour.

The folks at Anelace have come up with some cool binary timepieces that are certain to illicit a "What is that?" from anyone who walks by your desk.

iTunes Interface

Here's a slick front-end to the XML feed that iTunes publishes about the Top 100 songs. (You may have to update your Java install to get it to work right) The rank is represented by size, color and position on the grid.
