I might go for a “Suburban Prairie” though.
Wildflowers of Detroit, a community technology project for cataloging wild plants growing in Detroit.
For the duration of their project, the technology collaborative WinterRoot will be featuring different plants that are common to the Detroit urban prairie. From their first update, chicory: “Though this naturalized plant of European origin is common throughout North America, it’s penchant for filling Detroit’s once empty fields with an explosion of sky-blue is something to behold. ”
